Getting to Agonda Beach |
Nearest Airport: Dabolim (near Vasco da Gama) Regular flights from Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay), Bangalore, Chennai (Madras), Kochi (Cochin), in addition there are some charter flights from Europe during high season (December-January)
Nearest Major International Airport: Mumbai (Bombay)
Nearest Train Station: Canacona Limited service by trains from Margao, Mumbai, and Mangalore
Nearest Major Train Station: Margao (Margaon) Direct trains from most parts of India including, Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay), Cochin, Mangalore, and Bangalore
To reach Agonda Beach by public transportation:If arriving by train to Margao exit to the north (away from the station) follow the road at the end of the bridge up to the main road. From there take one of the frequent city buses heading up the road to the northwest (left as you face away from the train station) to the Kadamba bus station (~4 km). From Kadamba bus station in Margao take one of many regular buses to Canacona Bus Station (~1 hour 30 minutes). Regular buses depart from the Canacona Bus Station for Agonda (~20 minutes) the bus will drop you off at the northern end of the beach. Taxis and or auto rickshaws can be taken as a more comfortable and quicker alternative to the public bus.
